The screen of the TX15

The screen of the TX15 shows what ArduPilot reports, from the telemetry on the serial line. The lamps along the top show the flight mode and whether the plane is armed. Below them are the air data, the horizon and the data for navigation. Use the screen to check each action: when you press a button or a switch, you see the plane answer on the radio itself.

The screen shows that the plane is armed

If the radio line is serial, the game clock is off, the arm switch is off, the vehicle is disarmed and the TX15 screen arming is disarmed, put the arm switch on: SE pressed in is on, and SE out is off (with a toggle fitted in place of the button, up is on and down is off). The ARMED annunciator lights up. The second lamp on the screen of the TX15 shows ARMED, and it is amber.

The QLOITER button lights up. QLOITER: the first lamp on the screen of the TX15 shows this flight mode.

The throttle stick lifts the plane on the serial line

If the radio line is serial, the vehicle is armed, the autopilot mode is QLOITER and the plane is on the ground, move the throttle stick to the high position: all the way down is low, the middle is middle, and three quarters up is high. The plane stays at one place in the air, and the speed in the PFD is near 0. The plane leaves your hand and climbs away. The height above home is at least 15 m.

The screen shows forward flight

If the radio line is serial, the vehicle is armed, the flight is hovering, the plane is flying, the height above home is at least 15 m and the throttle stick is high, push the throttle stick all the way up, pull the elevator stick back a little, and press button 3 on the front of the radio. The wing motors tilt forward and the plane speeds up. The speed in the PFD is above 11 m/s, and the plane flies forward. The FBWA button lights up. FBWA: the first lamp on the screen of the TX15 shows this flight mode.

The aileron stick banks the plane on the serial line

If the radio line is serial, the vehicle is armed, the autopilot mode is FBWA and the flight is cruising, move the aileron stick right: all the way left, in the middle, or all the way right. The horizon in the PFD is tilted, and the roll reading is more than 10° from 0.
