Old information
The station does not hide a plane that goes quiet. The marker stays where the plane was last heard, and it goes dim. After a minute the marker goes away.
A plane that goes quiet goes stale
If the map has 1 other plane and the marker of the other plane is live, ask the other pilot to be silent. Then wait 10 seconds. The marker is dim, and it stays where the other plane was last heard.
See it in Seeing a friend who flies near you.
How this is tested verified
Given the map has 1 other plane And the marker of the other plane is live When the other plane is silent And 10 seconds pass Then the marker of the other plane is stale
A quiet plane leaves the map after a minute
If the map has 1 other plane and the marker of the other plane is stale, wait one minute and 10 seconds. The number of markers of other planes on the tactical map is 0.
See it in Seeing a friend who flies near you.
How this is tested verified
Given the map has 1 other plane And the marker of the other plane is stale When 70 seconds pass Then the map has 0 other planes
A lost radio link makes every marker stale
The station only hears the other planes through the TX15. If the link is lost, the station does not know where they are. It keeps the last positions, and it dims them.
If the map has 1 other plane and the marker of the other plane is live, set the TX15 link to lost. Then wait 10 seconds. The marker is dim, and it stays where the other plane was last heard.
See it in Losing the radio link.
How this is tested verified
Given the map has 1 other plane And the marker of the other plane is live When the TX15 link is lost And 10 seconds pass Then the marker of the other plane is stale
