MAVLink network
Pilots who share a MAVLink network see each other's planes. Each plane sends its position a few times a second. The network has a longer range than Remote ID.
A plane on the MAVLink network gets a marker
If the other plane is sending MAVLink and the distance to the other plane is at most 2000 m, wait 5 seconds. The number of markers of other planes on the tactical map is 1. The marker is bright, and it moves with the other plane. The label of the marker says MAV.
See it in Flying near a crowd of planes, Losing the radio link.
How this is tested verified
Given the other plane is sending MAVLink And the distance to the other plane is at most 2000 m When 5 seconds pass Then the map has 1 other plane And the marker of the other plane is live And the source of the marker is MAVLink
The MAVLink network has a limit too
If the other plane is sending MAVLink, the distance to the other plane is at least 6000 m and the map has 0 other planes, wait 5 seconds. The number of markers of other planes on the tactical map is 0.

A plane that sends both gets one marker
Remote ID and MAVLink tell the station about the same plane. The station joins the two when they are at the same place. The label of the marker names both sources.
If the other plane is sending both and the distance to the other plane is at most 500 m, wait 5 seconds. The number of markers of other planes on the tactical map is 1. The label of the marker says MAV RID.
See it in Seeing a friend who flies near you.
